Now considered a super-group, Temple of the Dog has added more shows as it readies itself to head out on the road for the first time ever. Meanwhile, the 25th anniversary of their self titled and only album is being reissued in 4 different packages and will be released at the end of September.

The album  was recorded in 1990 as a tribute to Mother Love Bone vocalist Andy Wood, who died that year of a drug overdose. His passing led to the end of Mother Love Bone, but Pearl Jam rose from the ashes of that group.  Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder also contributed vocals to the Temple Of The Dog album, he is not currently slated to appear on the tour.

Concerning  new Temple Of The Dog music, Chris Cornell said, “We’d have to feel really great about the songs. It’s a scary thing. I don’t want to say they’d have to live up to the first album, but I wouldn’t want it to take away from it either.
