Oasis is gearing up to mark the 30th anniversary of their breakthrough hit ‘Supersonic’ by reintroducing the track as a physical single.

Originally unleashed on April 11, 1994, ‘Supersonic’ served as the debut single for the Britpop icons and later became a cornerstone of their acclaimed first studio album, ‘Definitely Maybe’.

Despite its eventual success, the song had humble beginnings, originating as a demo reportedly crafted by Noel Gallagher during a studio break while other band members were away.

Recorded in a swift session at Liverpool’s Pink Museum Studio on December 19, 1993, ‘Supersonic’ was produced by Oasis alongside their live sound engineer, Mark Coyle.

Now, three decades since its initial release, Liam Gallagher has confirmed plans for a reissue of the track as a physical release.

“To celebrate 30 years of Supersonic, the original CD single and a limited edition pearl-colored and numbered 7″ release on April 12th, 2024,” announced Liam in a recent Instagram post on March 20.

In addition to the iconic title track, the physical copies will include ‘Take Me Away’, a B-side accompanying the original ‘Supersonic’ release.
