MoneySense released their 2017 list of the best places to live in Canada and Wood Buffalo came in at #140.

Cities were ranked on a number of scales including; a robust economy, high wealth & incomes, home affordability, low crime, transit friendly, low taxes, health accessibility, arts & community, & nice weather.

The three biggest reasons for Wood Buffalo’s ranking were high wealth & incomes, transit friendly, and low taxes.

The number one place to live in the country is our capital Ottawa, Ontario. The top Alberta city is St. Albert at #7 and Canmore at #29. Edmonton came in at #96.

Sitting at the bottom at #417 is Colchester, Subd. C, Nova Scotia.
